Coming March 19th: The Ultimate STEAM Expo: Where Science, Art, and Fun Collide!
This year, we’ve got hits like BMX, BlowAGlass, USSF rockets, and our elementary and high school STEM groups coming back for more fun.
We’re also welcoming new acts from Mad Science, Roundhouse Aquarium, Brick Tech, the Princess Program STEM, POP’s Musical Productions, and Music Rhapsody!
Grand View Garden, along with local environmental programs, will showcase how science can support environmental action and awareness with fun games and prizes.
Attendees will be able to take a break from the excitement and visit our newly opened Mindful lounge throughout the event.
Plan to stay for dinner and visit the food trucks- 10% of the proceeds are donated to Grand View.

All groups will be exhibiting from 3 - 6 pm aside from the following scheduled events:
- Stunt Masters BMX: stunts from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
- Roundhouse Aquarium: hands on exhibits from 3:30 - 5:30 pm
- BlowAGlass: shows at 3:30 pm, 4:15 pm & 5:00 pm
- Mad Science Fire & Ice: shows at 3:30 pm & 5:00 pm
Extreme Physics & Engineering Fun
- BMX stunts & aerial tricks: Watch the laws of physics in action with jaw-dropping BMX stunts and aerial tricks.
- Robotics Showcase: Check out Beach Cities Robotics “The Quacken” robot, drive a Mustang Mechanics bot with your own hands, check out Grand View’s very own robotics team creations and more.
- Cipher with Mira Cost Cybersecurity: Learn how how a Caesar shift code works with a cipher wheel, engage with cybersecurity gadgets and find out what makes a strong password
- USSF: build & launch your Own pneumatic paper rocket launcher: Feel the rush as your rocket soars up to 100 feet or more.
Hands-On Science & Discovery
- Mad Science Fire & Ice show: Watch fire, bubbling potions, and air pressure create explosive, hands-on science.
- Roundhouse Aquarium marine life exploration: Dive into the depths of the sea with shark teeth, sea stars, and a marine-themed trivia game.
- MB Library Cubelets robotics: Snap together magnetic blocks to create robots and cool inventions that move.
- Brick Tech LEGO® creation zone: Use the power of LEGO® to build and program your own amazing creations.
- STEM Princess coloring pages & friendship bracelets: Craft fun, personalized bracelets & learn code along the way, and get your coloring on.
- Mira Costa HS GAL’s STEM experiments and trivia: Is it a solid? Is it a liquid? Have fun deciding when you make oobleck, and play some Women in STEM focused trivia to win a prize!
Environmental Action & Awareness
- Grand View Garden adventure: Solve challenges to win seeds for the sensory garden and watch your knowledge grow.
- MB Waste sorting challenge: Test your knowledge of recycling and preserving resources with interactive games.
- Grades of Green recycling decomposition challenge: Discover how long it takes for materials to break down and score some eco-friendly prizes.
Interactive Arts:
- BlowAGlass glass blowing: Get up close to stunning glass art, and feel the heat with hands-on activities.
- MakerSpace & Young at Art hosted installation: Help Grand View Gators create our own recycled masterpiece and learn the techniques of a legendary artist.
- POP’s Performing Arts: Try improv, pitch-matching, quick costume changes, and more in this high-energy creative challenge.
- Music Rhapsody hands on activities: percussion instruments that bring rhythm to life, and a chance to win exciting giveaways!
